The bluebird season has started! The Bluebird Society monitored the bluebird boxes at Adventure Bay and to their delight they saw 32 bluebird eggs. They saw Moutain Bluebird eggs in boxes 2, 3, and 12, as well as Western Bluebird eggs in boxes 4 and 14. Nests are in the process of being constructed in several other boxes.
The Bluebird Society reported that the White Breasted Nuthatch is still on her nest. They also believe they spotted a Say's Phoebe Flycatcher nest. They plan to continue to monitor the nests throughout the season.
The arrow leaf Balsamroot flowers on the south slopes are in full bloom. Saskatoon flowers are just starting to bloom.
Such a wonderful time of year at Adventure Bay!
