COMMUNITY

Adventure Bay is home to an active year-round community. Our owners come from Alberta, British Columbia, and other parts of Canada. In addition, we have owners from the United States and abroad, giving the community diversity and vitality. Many owners are full-time residents while others occupy their homes seasonally.

Our Residents

Adventure Bay offers a vibrant community where residents can connect through a variety of activities while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Regular social gatherings provide a chance to meet neighbors, while nature walks, hiking, and biking outings offer opportunities to explore the area’s scenic trails.

Adventure Bay balances the best of both worlds—offering opportunities to engage with others while still providing the privacy and tranquility of living close to nature. Here, you can participate as much or as little as you like, making it easy to enjoy a lifestyle that suits your pace.

Bird Watching

In recent years, bird watching has become a very popular activity at Adventure Bay. While residents often view ospreys, bald eagles, blue herons, and red tailed hawks, they started to notice a decline in migratory bluebirds from Mexico.

In an effort to restore the bluebird population, AB residents came together to establish a bluebird survival program through the North Okanagan Naturalists Club. Residents designed, built and installed dozens of bird-houses along the Adventure Bay trail system. Within a single season, they noticed a significant comeback of bluebirds on the property. Today, residents enjoy watching the playful bluebirds catching flies for their hatchlings.

Vernon

The welcoming and friendly City of Vernon is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway or a holiday with the family. A variety of stores and restaurants provide unique eating and shopping experiences, and an array of services. Everything from barber shops to office supply stores, from restaurants to movie theaters, line the main street. Wide tree lined sidewalks make strolling and window shopping a pleasure. The weekly street market is a big draw for Vernon residents and visitors. Downtown Vernon serves the medical needs of Adventure Bay residents with a recently completed addition and modernization of the local hospital, and completion of several nearby clinics housing medical specialists in many fields.
