Greetings and Happy New Year.
As the Developer of Adventure Bay, I am pleased to advise you that
we are starting 2009 having achieved our site servicing
objectives and our 2008 marketing goals. We remain well positioned
to thrive in the current economic environment, and to provide you
with clear value.
Tronson Road leading to Adventure Bay has been substantially
upgraded making it safe and convenient to drive year
round. All of the City of Vernon and private utility services have been
extended to the site. Underground services to individual
Homesites are ready for hookup to homes. Roads are paved, sidewalks
and streetlights are installed. Landscaping the public rights of way
will be completed this year. The City of Vernon is accepting building
permit applications and several new homes are now under construction.
Tavistock will start
construction of several model homes this spring so that
Adventure Bay owners and prospective purchasers will be able to walk through
actual homes to appreciate the livable designs and quality
construction, and to gaze through picture windows at Lake Okanagan. This experience will assist you with ideas for
custom
designing your own home.
Our architects in Vernon and Vancouver have completed several home
plans that are available for you to review. The
portfolio will contain Prairie Style homes of various sizes and
layouts. You are welcome to contact us about design, construction
and home costs at Adventure Bay. Due to recent cost reductions from
our contractors and suppliers, we can pass on substantial savings on
home construction without compromising quality.
Architectural Guidelines are now complete. The Guidelines are
intended to assist owners, designers and contractors through the
planning and approval process. You may choose to work with our team
to design and build your home, or select an architect and contractor
of your own. We will review the qualifications and experience of
outside professionals you propose to retain in the interests of the
entire project.
Over the years we have become quite adept at building quality homes
of character and recognized value in the Vernon area. Because of our
buying power, long term relationships with local trades, and
