Springtime at Adventure Bay brings out fantastic birdlife in the Okanagan.
This year a group of residents built several specialized birdhouses to attract the Western Bluebirds returning from Mexico. Within days all the birdhouses were inhabited by these beautiful birds.
In the evening, when many AB residents are out walking their dogs, it is so pleasant to watch the playful bluebirds catching flies for their new hatchlings.
The skies are also filled with ospreys, eagles and red tailed hawks at this time of year. Birding in the Okanagan is becoming a very enjoyable activity among neighbors at Adventure Bay, with birds flitting about everywhere you look.
Wild flowers and berries are in season throughout the spring and summer, with the bright yellow balsam root is in full bloom in April or May.
Bring your camera and walk the community trails for wonderful photo opportunities.
